If you are looking for a way to accurately track your time that you spend on projects or tasks, I recommend that you check out the Time Stamp software.  It is a very user-friendly program and best of all…it is FREE to download!   Time Stamp is “donationware”, meaning that if you so desire, you can ”send a donation” to go towards its future development.  Personally, this software has proven to be a very benefical tool for both myself and my business.

They offer so many great promotions on business cards, marketing materials, letterhead, pens and so much more than you could possibly imagine!  They are constantly running promotions offering either FREE items or items priced at very low and hard-to-beat prices.  For items that you order that are FREE, all that you pay for is shipping and that cost is even very reasonable and affordable.  I designed and ordered my business cards through Vista Print and I am very happy with them.  I plan on ordering many more items from them to market my business.  I invite you to check out their website and see what they have to offer!

When you make the choice to refill your ink cartridge instead of tossing it in the trash, you are helping to protect the future of our environment.  This proactive solution is a win/win for consumers, entrepreneurs and the environment.  Every cartridge refilled means one less cartridge in our landfills.

I have recently started getting my cartridges refilled at ‘Cartridge World’.  They have locations throughout the USA and the world.  When you get your cartridges refilled, you are not only helping to protect the future of our environment…you are also saving up to 50% compared to the cost of a new cartridge.

Some interesting facts about the environmental impact of printer cartridges (Source:  ‘Cartridge World’ website):

  • It takes about a gallon of oil to make a new laser cartridge.
  • Almost 8 cartridges are thrown away per second in the US alone!
  • In North America alone, over 350 million cartridges per year are discarded in our landfills, and that number increases by 12% annually!
  • A laser cartridge thrown into a landfill can take up to 450 years to decompose.  Some components made of industrial grade plastics will take over a thousand years to decompose.
  • Every remanufactured cartridge saves nearly 3 1/2 pounds of solid waste from being deposited in landfills.
  • 70% of used printer cartridges throughout the world are currently being thrown out.
  • In one year, if the world’s discarded cartridges were stacked end-to-end, they would circle the earth over three times.

So the next time you have a message pop up on your screen letting you know that your printer is almost out of ink, think about getting it refilled instead of tossing it!!!
